The meeting started with prayer.

Minutes of last AGM were circulated, read and agreed              Matters arising not on Agenda: Report of the successful 50th Parish  anniversary celebration at Lyme Park on  July 9th .  Good weather for our picnic then some people walked around the park including going in the Cage which happened to be open that Sunday and others around the garden  Thanks to Sue for the cake!

Finance   Frank H  had produced accounts for the year.  There is a surplus of £1,675.42.

Insurance –Michael Blundell informed Frank there the Diocese is now using a new insurance company. Frank will check we are still covered as before as a parish group. Frank reminded the group that the insurance  is not for personal injury but covers the leader if some one makes a claim against them for negligence ie leaving gates open so animals get out.  The subs can therefore stay at £5. Sue H will collect.

As there is a good surplus it was agreed that a donation should be made as last year to our local Mountain Rescue teams - Glossop and Kinder. It was agreed to give £100 to each.

Walks during the year

Pat McChrystal reported there is a small group of regular A walkers and they have enjoyed some good walks – usually around 10 miles.

Members of the A group were asked to sign up to lead on the walk’s sheet as usual. The Churches Together

Again there have not been any  family walks.  It seems the younger people with children are busy with other activities on Sundays and not interested in walking.

Ladies Tuesday evening walks are enjoyed by those who attend.  Sue and Colette have been joined regularly by Bernadette and Bill joins the men.  The two groups prefer being separate!
